Before I was born my parents had gotten a dog named Muttly. He was half sheep dog and something else that we never found out. When I was born Muttly was about three years old and as I grew up so did he. He was the best dog even when I used to chase him around the yard with branches and throw stuff at him. I was not old enough to know that was not okay. When I was about twelve and he was about fifteen I went to pet him and he freaked out and bit me to where I needed stitches. I had no idea why he did that and I was upset and scared for a while. About a week after that incident my parents decided that he was just too old and he had to be put down. I told myself that I never wanted another dog because I felt so bad and I also felt like it was my fault.
I met my boyfriend at a football game that feels like forever ago. His name is David and we have been dating for three years. One day we walked into a pet store that sold puppies. I felt so bad for them because they were stuck in cages and wanted to be loved. I looked at my boyfriend and ask of we could get one since I had the money at the time. He told me no several times before giving in and decided to get a puppy. There were about six different puppies to choose from and they were all a different breed. I looked at them all and my heart went out to all of them and I wanted to take them all home. I got to the very last cage that had a puppy in it and my heart melted! In the cage was a red miniature dachshund with the cutest ears and the biggest brown eyes I have ever seen. I played with her for about thirty seconds and I knew she was the one! She was so playful and hyper that I could barely hold her in my arms. She was three months, three lbs and seven-hundred and fifty dollars. I thought the price was a little extreme but I wanted her so much that it didn't matter to me. She gave me kisses all over and just wanted to play with everybody in the store. We brought her home and I have never been happier! We named her Sandy and she is now seven months old and weighs about seven lbs. We got her spayed about two weeks ago and she is still recovering from that. She is the most cutest little dog I could ever ask for. She is a definitely a handful but she is all worth it! I am so glad I got Sandy and I wouldn't change anything about her! She is so perfect to me and David.

ReplyDeleteMy friend has a puppy just like that! She's adorable! I'm sorry to hear about Mutty. I have an older dog right now; he's 13 years old. I can barely think about the day I'll lose him! I'm glad you were able to get another puppy! She was expensive, but I'm sure she's worth every dollar!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! She is so precious!! I love puppies so much! I hate going into those stores too because I feel so bad for the cute little animals! I want to take all of them home with me too! Sorry to hear about your other dog but I'm so happy you found another one that makes you happy :)
